Our Story
About Tanta Holdings
Tanta Holdings was built around a straightforward observation: global professionals have the skills, and US organizations need them. The companies in this system exist to close the gap between those two facts.
“Global Talent. US Standards. Real Results.”
Operating philosophy of Tanta Global Assist
Founder
Jon Edwards
Navy Veteran. Instructional Designer. Builder.
The Consulting Practice
Jon Edwards spent over two decades in the US Navy - active duty and reserves - then built a career at the intersection of Instructional Design, workforce development, and AI enablement. Tanta Solutions is that practice: ISD and AI adoption consulting for enterprise L&D leaders. It funds everything else.
The Observation
Through that work, Jon saw a second problem: global professionals - particularly in the Philippines - show up skilled, prepared, and English-proficient, and get consistently placed below their actual capability level. The gap is not talent. It is access, preparation, and navigation.
The Training Company
Tanta Global Academy was built to close the preparation gap. The flagship VA101 course trains professionals specifically for the US remote work market - not generic VA training, but the kind that produces candidates US clients will actually pay for and keep.
The Placement Arm
Training without placement is a credential with nowhere to go. Tanta Global Assist connects certified TGA graduates with US clients who are ready to hire. Pre-vetted talent on both sides - no cold outreach, no guessing.
The Visa Reality
US employers started asking about bringing talent on directly - visa sponsorship, work authorization, immigration timelines. Jon's wife Janice went through the J-1 visa process firsthand as a Filipino professional. That lived experience became the foundation of Tanta Visa Pathways.

How We Operate
Core Values
Excellence
VAs are placed only after demonstrating readiness through structured performance benchmarks - not course completion.
Growth
Investment in VA development through Tanta Global Academy - real curriculum, real credentials, real outcomes.
Trust
US-side oversight with accountability and clear escalation paths built into every engagement.
Global Connection
Bridging US business needs with international talent - not as a transaction, but as a system.
The Thesis
Why This System Exists
Global professionals are skilled and chronically underplaced. US organizations are rolling out AI tools with no training plan, hiring international talent with no real process, and navigating immigration without a clear picture of what it actually costs or takes. Tanta Holdings was built to address all three.
Tanta Solutions works directly with US enterprise L&D teams on AI adoption and instructional design. TGA trains Filipino professionals for the US remote work market. TGA Assist places certified graduates with US clients. TVP handles the immigration layer when remote work is not the end goal.
This is not a shortcut. It is infrastructure - built from consulting revenue out, one piece at a time.

What We Are - And Are Not
What we are
- ✓A training organization for professionals seeking US remote work
- ✓A placement operation connecting trained talent with US clients
- ✓A visa navigation layer built from Janice's firsthand J-1 experience as an applicant
- ✓Honest about what each company can and cannot do
- ✓A referral source when a situation needs an attorney or a sponsor
What we are not
- ×A law firm or source of legal advice
- ×A J-1 visa sponsor (State Dept designation is a long-term goal)
- ×A licensed immigration consultant
- ×A guarantee of employment or visa approval
- ×A substitute for legal representation when your case needs it
